Is your LinkedIn profile nailing these 3 things?
Because 98% of profiles I see are missing the boat...
Been looking at the numbers on all the LinkedIn profiles we’ve upgraded recently.
And the results are pretty nuts..
We compared each client’s numbers from the 3 months after their profile revamp to the 3 months before, and here’s what we saw:
📈 +122% more impressions
👀 +219% more profile visits
Now some of these had some new content from us, but most had no extra posts going out at all.
Just a better profile doing its job.
And whether you ever work with me or not, I want you to know why this works, because most LinkedIn profiles are just sitting there, silently costing people opportunities.
So here’s the simple framework I use to turn a static profile into a client-attracting asset:
1. Findability + Clickability
Findability: If your ideal client searched for someone like you right now… would you show up? Most profiles are missing key search terms that LinkedIn's algorithm (and real humans) are looking for.
Clickability: A great headline and a solid photo matter more than you think. You have a split second to grab attention—and I’ve tested what works (and what doesn’t) across dozens of profiles.
2. Clarity + Relevance
Your profile has one job: make it instantly clear what you do, who you help, and why it matters.
Most people treat LinkedIn like a resume. But in reality, your profile should work more like a landing page:
—Clear
—Client-focused
—Easy to skim
—Impossible to ignore
Every section should speak directly to the specific people you help and the specific problem you solve.
3. A Strong Call to Action
You’ve got someone’s attention. Great - now what?
A good CTA tells them what to do next:
—Schedule a call.
—Visit your site.
—Send a message.
—Grab a resource
Whatever it is, don’t make them guess.
When you dial in these 3 things—visibility, clarity, and direction—your LinkedIn profile becomes more than just a placeholder.
It becomes a magnet for the right people.
If you want help making that happen, check out this page where you can see examples and case studies.
And if you want help with yours, I’ll handle the whole thing, from positioning to polish to a CTA that actually converts.
Rooting for you,
Tom
