Most people think outreach is about persuasion.
I think it’s about service.
For years, the playbook was pretty simple…
Reach out, pitch your offer, and hope someone says yes.
But the truth is, that approach is burning out fast.
Prospects are tired of being pitched.

What they do respond to…is help.

This is the future of outreach I’m most excited about: leading with what I call a value offer - a small, immediately useful slice of your expertise that helps your prospect solve a real problem before you ever ask for a meeting.

First, we get crystal clear on three things:
Who their ideal clients are
What their ideal client pain points are
How can we start solving those pain points immediately
From there, we build a resource for them, not about us.
That might be:
A short video that addresses a few key insights they are likely not aware of
A 1-page audit that surfaces missed opportunities in their current strategy
A quick competitive benchmark report showing how they stack up against rivals
A mini calculator that reveals hidden costs or inefficiencies
A short Loom teardown pointing out 2–3 quick wins they could implement now
All of this is possible today with AI.
We’ll feed their public site, LinkedIn, or other data into various AI tools to surface insights, then wrap those insights into something tangible…..a video, a one-pager, a tool and ask permission to send it.
The key is that we don’t just send it blindly.
We ask permission first.
Something like:
“Hey, I can put together a short snapshot showing how your customer sentiment compares to your top 3 competitors - would that be useful?”
It’s low-pressure. It’s easy to say yes to. And it starts the conversation from a place of helping, not selling.
The result?
Reply rates shoot up because the message is relevant and useful.
Calls go better because prospects show up with gratitude, not skepticism.
And even if they’re not ready to buy today, you can now keep them in your orbit - which compounds your pipeline over time.
This is the kind of outreach you can feel good about doing.
Because whether they become a client or not, you’ve helped them win.
That’s what modern outbound looks like.
And the businesses that build around this approach now are going to run circles around the ones still blasting cold pitches.
