3 practical ways to use AI to generate more leads

Even if you're not a "tech person"

If you’ve been wondering how to actually use AI to get more leads instead of watching some tech bro talk about “automated workflow”…here are three practical ways that work right now.

These aren’t hacks or gimmicks.

They’re the same things we use with clients to fill pipelines faster, get better conversations started, and compound campaigns as we go.

Here they are:

1. Use AI to identify why your prospect might need you

Your best insights are already hiding in plain sight - on your prospect’s website, LinkedIn, or press releases.

With tools like ChatGPT and Perplexity, you can feed in those public pages and ask:

“Based on this company’s website and recent activity, what challenges or opportunities might indicate they’d benefit from [your service]?”

AI will surface clues you might miss: outdated messaging, weak positioning, hiring patterns, missed SEO opportunities, customer churn signals, or anything else that ties back to your expertise.

Then you can use those insights directly in your outreach message:

“Noticed you’re hiring multiple customer success roles. Teams usually do that when retention pressure starts rising.

I can share a quick audit we use to reduce churn - want me to send it?”

This reframes your message from cold pitch to warm observation.

2. Turn your sales calls into lead-generating content (and follow-ups)

Every discovery call you have is gold.

Inside those 20–60 minutes are:
– The exact questions your ideal clients are asking
– The objections that stop deals
– The moments they say “that’s interesting”

Instead of letting that disappear, record every call with Fathom, then feed the transcript into ChatGPT and ask:

“Summarize the 3 most important insights or themes from this conversation. Turn them into one short follow-up email and one LinkedIn post.”

Now you’re not just following up - you’re building content that speaks directly to your market’s reality.

It keeps you top-of-mind and reinforces that you get their world.

3. Create “Value Offers” that give insight before you sell

This is my favorite use of AI right now - and the one that changes everything about outreach.

A Value Offer is a small, immediately useful resource that delivers a slice of your service without a sales pitch.

Think:
– A one-page benchmark report generated with ChatGPT and Gamma
– A mini audit recorded with Loom
– A competitor comparison pulled together using Perplexity

All you need is a few public URLs (their site, their LinkedIn, their press) and a structured prompt like:

“Analyze this company’s positioning and surface 3 insights or opportunities they might be missing.”

Wrap that into a clean one-pager or short video, and ask permission to send it:

“Hey, I can put together a quick snapshot of how your [X] compares to [Y]. Would that be useful?”

This is the kind of outreach that scales without losing its soul. Every message you send adds value, builds credibility, and expands your audience, even when someone doesn’t reply.

Because the goal isn’t just to book a call today; it’s to build a brand that earns trust at every touchpoint.
